You are walking northbound down the empty streets of New York City headed towards the East River when you suddenly drop down into an open manhole. You scream so loud you can hear the echo as you slam into the slimy cement ground. Once you regroup, you stand up and look around, only to see a tunnel that goes straight for as far as you can gather. You look up at the manhole only to realize the ladder is missing. You begin to walk in the direction you assume will lead you to the river, hoping to fund another manhole with a ladder so you can escape. You come to a point where the tunnel splits into two and you must choose to go left or right. You choose to go:
- Left
- Right
As you turned the corner, you come across a man on a horse in a powdered wig. You ask him for directions to the East River. He begins to speak, but no sound is coming out of his mouth. You push him off his horse and start riding the horse down the tunnel, hoping to get to the river faster. Suddenly, the horse slams into the wall and bursts into dust, and you are confronted with a new turn. You must choose to go left or right. You choose to go:
- Left
- Right

Around the corner you see something glowing in the distance. You begin walking towards the strange glowing thing hoping it is the way to the river. As you wander there, you become hesitant. You touch the wall to catch yourself before falling into the portal and notice that your hand is suctioning to the wall. You now have to choose if you want to step into the portal or scale the wall with your newfound power.
- Step into the portal
- Scale the wall

As you climb your way up the wall past the portal, you look down into the portal only to feel your retinas burning from the flash of light. You reach the end of the portal and drop down onto the ground again, trying to regain you vision. You continue along the path and, hoping you made the correct decision. You are met with another decision. You choose to go:
- Left
- Right
You decide to go right in hoping that this will take you to the river. It doesn’t. However, you see a man sitting on the ground with what appears to be the new Microsoft Surface Pro tablet. You continue walking only to find out it is Bill Gates, the man you consider to be the smartest in the whole world. You ask him to put in directions to the East River, but he says, “There is no service down here.” Disappointed, you ask him, “What do you think would be the best way out?” He says, “Which paths did you take to make it here?” You say, “I went right, then left, then right.” He says, “Based on what I know about directions, you should take another left to continue heading north so you can reach the river.” You continue walking and see the next turn. You decide to go:
- Left (follow Bill Gate’s advice)
- Right

Congratulations! You have made it to the river only to realize your hallucinations are what guided you through the underground maze of New York City.
